ADMINISTRATION BIOS

 

Teresa Pulvermacher, FNP

President

As President, Teresa Pulvermacher serves as liaison between Riverside Corporate Wellness corporate partners and the health care realm. As a service to RCW's partners and customers, she ensures transparency in all transactions, which results in seamless management of a partner organization's health care negotiations with providers, and ensures a return on a wellness investment through cost containment and controlled premium increases. Teresa works in tandem with corporate and community partners and RCW's team of health and wellness experts to realize an organization's desired goals and outcomes.

 

In her role as President, Teresa’s overarching goals are to guide the integration of wellness and lifestyle initiatives with clinical innovations to bring a new health care model to the forefront of reform. Teresa, also and FNP, serves as a health care provider in RCW Primary Care as needed.

 

Teresa is a long-time resident of the Coulee Region, along with her husband Gary, their five children and growing number of grandchildren. Teresa began her health education at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, and completed Family Nurse Practitioner training at Viterbo University.

Dawn Cimperman, BS, MS, ACE-CPT, ACE-FNS, ACE-HC

Fitness Center Manager

Dawn Cimperman is familiar with the current innovative fitness concepts, practices and procedures and it responsible for fitness facility operation. Dawn directs the team of fitness professionals, students and volunteers at Riverside Corporate Wellness and works alongside of them to deliver the best service for members. Dawn develops health and fitness programs and collaborates with the wellness team of multidisciplinary professionals and assists in the development and implementation of wellness programs. 

 

Dawn believes that health and wellness should always be a holistic approach and fully supports the belief that a health lifestyle is a result of moderation -- "Everything in moderation, nothing in excess except happiness." Dawn enjoys implementing wellness programs as well as teaching and coaching individuals ways to incorporate healthy habits into their lives. Watching people make life changing strides in their health and wellness is something that Dawn enjoys most about her job. 

 

Dawn is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology, Certificate in Nutrition, and Master of Science in Business Management. She holds a Personal Training and Fitness Nutrition Specialist Certification from American Council on Exercise, Schwinn Cycle Certification and TRX Suspension Trainer Certification. 

 

Dawn is originally from Sun Prairie, WI, suburb of Madison and now lives in the La Crosse Area. In her spare time, Dawn enjoys hiking, running, biking, playing volleyball, being outdoors and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

Michelle Gilbertson, BS, CHES

Wellness Program/Project Coordinator

Michelle Gilbertson provides and manages health education programs that help individuals, families and their communities maximize and maintain healthy lifestyles. As a Health Educator, she collects and analyzes data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments. As needed, she serves as resource to assist individuals, other health professionals and the community.

 

Michelle believes every health habit starts with one small change each day. In her current role, she enjoys motivating and educating others about how to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle so they can realize their fullest potential. 

 

Michelle is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Education and a minor in Nutrition. She is originally from West Allis, a suburb of Milwaukee. 

 

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys hiking, being outdoors, hanging out with her husband and fur babies.

Brianna Mowbray, BS, CHES

Health Educator 

Brianna Mowbray collects and maintains program data to assess needs, resources and capacity for health education and promotion in RCW client populations. Brianna also conducts Behavioral Screening and Intervention (BSI) of adult clinic patients for depression, substance abuse, and unhealthy lifestyles. With this, she advises and assists the wellness team to plan and develop programming that supports clients’ behavior change goals. 

Brianna enjoys serving as a health education resource person and acting as a role model for healthy living. Her wellness philosophy centers on a multifaceted approach to whole-person health and she believes that everyone’s capacity for change lies within. 

Brianna is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health-Community Health Education and a minor in Spanish. She is originally from De Forest, Wisconsin.

Lindsay Bean

Massage Therapist

Lindsay Bean is committed to supporting the health and well being of her clients through alternative therapies like massage. She specializes in deep tissue massage and is trained in Swedish and pregnancy massage as well. She believes in using the body's natural healing abilities to balance the body as a whole unit and is a firm believer in treating the whole body rather than the symptoms of an injury or illness.

Lindsay is nationally certified and is licensed in the state of Wisconsin and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

 

Lindsay lives in La Crosse with her three daughters. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

Meagan Conrad, LMT

Massage Therapist

Meagan Conrad is committed to supporting the health of clients through massage therapy. She specializes in providing clinical massage, focusing on relieving pain and chronic tension related to overuse or injury.

 

Meagan Conrad has lived near the La Crosse area for most of her life. She first found her passion in health care when obtaining her Nursing Assistant degree and working in a nursing home for three years during high school and after. She then wanted to explore the alternative side of health care and found a great Massage Therapy program in Chicago, Illinois. She moved there with her husband to attend Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy. After completing the program she moved back to the La Crosse area where she has gained three years of experience working with a busy area Chiropractic team and also working with Riverside Corporate Wellness.

 

When she's not busy working she enjoys yoga, running, cooking and spending time with her family.

Julie Johnson

Massage Therapist

 

Julie Johnson is committed to supporting the health of clients through massage therapy. She specializes in sports massage, neuromuscular release, deep tissue and Swedish massage therapies, and most often combines all or most techniques into one treatment.

 

Julie is a resident of Holmen and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has been influenced by health and wellness and also practices Reiki. Integrated massage therapy has been shown to provide relief from chronic back pain, arthritis, migraines, temporal mandibular joint pain, fibromyalgia, and depression, and can contribute to an overall sense of well-being.

Angela Frank, DC, CACCP

Chiropractor

 

Angela Frank grew up in Caledonia, Minnesota. She is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota as well as Northwestern Health Sciences University, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic. She is one of the only doctors of Chiropractic in the La Crosse area with extensive training from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She is also certified by the Academy of Family Practice and the Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics and is Webster Certified for Pregnancy.

 

Dr. Frank concentrates her care on families: pre/post natal, pediatric, teen and adult sports injuries, auto injuries and male/female health and wellness issues. Along with her Certification in Pediatrics and Prenatal Chiropractic, she has taken training in Diversified technique, Activator method, sports injuries, and Kinesio© Taping. Dr. Frank believes in building patient relationships, which is essential in helping her patients in accomplishing their personal health goals. 

 

Dr. Frank lives in West Salem, Wisconsin, with her husband Peter and their sons, Christian and Bennett. When she is not in the clinic serving the needs of others, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, golfing and traveling.

Frank Lan

Acupuncturist

Fusheng "Frank" Lan is trained in both Western and traditional Chinese medicine. He was a medical doctor and pathologist in China and has a master’s degree in medicine from the Post-Graduate Medical School in Beijing. Frank started practicing acupuncture in the U.S. in 1998 and worked at Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare for 7 years. Combining traditional Chinese acupuncture with modern methods such as electrical stimulation and laser acupuncture, Frank treats many pain-related and neurological disorders.

Heather Bentzen

Member Liaison

As our member liaison, Heather Bentzen assists Riverside Corporate Wellness Primary Care clinic patients with registration, appointment scheduling, gathering of demographic information, verification of insurance coverage and collection of payments when necessary. In addition, she monitors corporate partner and patient satisfaction.

 

Heather lives in La Crescent with her husband, and their sons Zackary and Owen. They also have two dogs and a big extended family, so their house is never quiet! Heather and her husband try to teach their boys about a healthy lifestyle mostly through getting involved in plenty of sports and other physical activities, and learning how to make good decisions with regards to eating and nutrition habits. They are firm believers in leading by example. 

 

In her spare time, Heather enjoys Pilates as well as participating in the boys school and sports programs.

Becky DeGarmo

Registered Nurse

As one of the registered nurses at Riverside Corporate Wellness Primary Care Clinic, Becky is dedicated to helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals through her clinical nursing skills. Becky is adept at triage, assessment, and using the appropriate interventions and multidisciplinary referrals, gets employees and their family members the best health care possible.Becky is a long-time Crosse native and resides with her family on an active hobby farm Wisconsin. She attended both Western Technical College and Winona State University. She is married with two teenage daughters and loves camping, fishing, and anything outside.

Molly Jacobson, MPAS, PA-C

Physician Assistant

As a Physician Assistant, Molly Jacobson offers continuity, comprehensiveness and coordination of care, for all individuals who utilize Riverside Corporate Wellness Primary Care clinic services through our corporate partners. The Primary Care clinic follows an innovative, collaborative practice model that includes physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health professionals. This unique practice model enables our experts to adapt to customize services to the changing needs of your workforce. 

 

Molly is experienced in chronic disease management, and is passionate about focusing on disease prevention and overall wellness in the corporate environment for Riverside Corporate Wellness partners. 

 

Molly received her Bachelor of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri in 2001 and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2004. Her focus on primary care and disease prevention started early in her career when working for an internal medicine practice in St. Charles, Missouri. Afterward, she relocated to the Coulee Region where she provided primary care services to patients of all ages. 

Molly resides in Onalaska with her husband, Aaron, and their three children.

Amber Miller, RT

Lab/Radiology Technician

As a Lab/Radiology Technician at Riverside Corporate Wellness Primary Care clinic, Amber Miller provides high-quality radiological procedures as well as Phlebotomist and Lab Tech services. She also performs on-location lab tests including drug screens. Through her work, you can be sure your employees are healthy and fit for duty, and when necessary, are referred for health education services to address underlying health risks. Amber believes that providing education about food and exercise is the key to ultimately decreasing rates of disease. 

 

After studying Radiography at Western Technical College in La Crosse, Amber worked locally as a regional x-ray and lab tech. While she loved traveling to clinics across the tri-state area, Amber was looking for a clinic to call home. Thus started the current chapter in her life at Riverside Corporate Wellness.

 

In her spare time, Amber enjoys hot Yoga, camping, volleyball, being on the river, and anything that involves the beautiful area we live in. She is originally from Caledonia, Minnesota, has lived in La Crosse, and now resides in Iowa.

Jordan Murray, RD, CD

 

Dietitian

 

As a registered dietitian, it is Jordan's responsibility to provide evidence-based nutrition education and counseling to individuals. This can include individual counseling related to a variety of topics as well as group education and development of nutrition-related life skills such as grocery shopping, food portioning, and cooking.

 

He is a strong believer in intuitive eating concepts. While it is certainly important to eat nutritious foods, it is equally important to have a healthy relationship with the food we eat. One of his primary goals is to help others identify the emotional and social connections they have with food to better understand why we choose to eat the foods that we do.

 

Jordan is a graduate of Viterbo University with a major in Nutrition & Dietetics along with a minor in Psychology. He has always been passionate about athletics and enjoy playing, watching, and on occasion coaching various sports. Having grown up in the Coulee Region, he also appreciates opportunities to spend time outdoors and enjoy the natural beauty that this area has to offer.
