PURPOSE

This challenge is geared toward total body wellness.  It encourages improvement or new developed habits, no matter your health or wellness level, in four main areas: Fitness, Nutrition, Health Education and Self-Care. You get the use of RCW's amazing services and expert staff and also gives you the opportunitiy to compete against your co-workers, feel better and win prizes. Are you ready?

HOW TO PLAY

Each completed activity is awarded a certain number of points.  Some points are tracked or need to be submitted to be awarded, while others are based on the honor system.  The goal is to move through a full basketball court.  Everyone who finishes the game will receive a prize, as well as be entered in the grand prize drawing. The more times you complete, the more chances you have to win. It's as simple as that.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do I have to use the fitness center every day or attend every event?
    Not at all! The goal of this event is to start new habits or kick start previous ones that touch on multiples area of wellness. If you don’t like fitness centers, start by taking a walk daily, or use one of our virtual class options in the privacy of your own home. You can swap out that soda for a fruit infused water or attend one of our 10-minute mediation classes to help refocus on yourself. Check out our rules and events flyer for more great ideas!

     

  • I’m not a competitive person, is this “game” for me?
    Definitely! The March into Wellness event is about focusing on, establishing new habits, and trying something new with a healthy mindset. Of course, we want you to finish the gameboard, but the goal is to simply get started. Studies show that habits form after 21-28 days of activity. With March into Wellness, you can achieve that by going at your own pace, select the activities you enjoy doing or try something new and different. You’ll have fun while creating some new healthier habits and choices!

     

  • I’m new to this, what kind of help is available?
    Our expert RCW staff is here to help you through each step of this event. Our fitness trainers, health educators, support staff, health coaches and dietitian love to help and will answer any questions you have during this event. We’re excited to help you reach your goals!

     

  • I’m healthy and work out all the time and eat well. How can this help me?
    Let’s be honest, we all have at least one area we need to work on with our health goals. We’re here to help you find something new or push you further in your goals with a fun and exciting game. If you are already on your way to reaching all your goals, this is also a way to encourage your friends and coworkers to reach theirs!
